Why the Franchise Model is No Longer Most Appealing

Why the Franchise Model is No Longer Most Appealing

Author: Michael Peregrine

In the past, starting your own business was a risky decision for both your career and your financial security. That is why so many people have turned to franchising; because a franchise comes with support, an established brand, a tested product and a marketing team. Owning a franchise for a successful company was more secure than developing everything for yourself and starting out cold. That was, before the internet.

With the online business world growing and gaining speed every minute of every day, starting an internet business has become a much more affordable choice that offers unlimited creative freedom for the true entrepreneur. There are many reasons why an e-commerce business is a much better model than franchising now.

The first and most significant reason is also the most obvious: money. To own a major franchise you need to pay for it. This usually means you need to get a loan because not too many people have hundreds of thousands of dollars just lying around. You also need to hire a staff, train them and purchase all the materials needed to get your place running. When you run an online business there is little to no overhead and it’s something you can operate entirely on your own.

With so many new internet technologies you can even start your own website without any web design knowledge for nothing at all.

One of the other major downfalls to owning a franchise is that you have very little creative freedom to steer your business in a new and different direction. You are usually required to conform to company standards and regulations for everything from dress code to how you speak with a customer. As an internet business owner you can choose to do something you’re passionate about and use your creativity to make it what you want. Having access to worldwide marketplace also makes this possible because you don’t need to do something that’s in demand locally.

As a franchise owner you are not in total control of your business and there are limitations on how much you can earn as set by your head corporation. You can’t raise prices on your own or offer new services without approval, but with an online business there are no limits to what you can do with your venture or how much money you can make.

How to Start Making Money Online in 3 to 4 Hours Per Week

How to Start Making Money Online in 3 to 4 Hours Per Week

Author: Susan Warburton

In this day and age, there are more and more people who are looking for ways to make extra money or who are looking to start their own business. Thanks to the Internet there are more ways than ever for people to start their own business. If you've got a day job, you may wonder how you can possibly start a second business while maintaining your day job. You'll be happy to know that it can take as little as three to four hours per week to start and maintain your own online business.

An online business can take many different forms. There are people who make their own products and sell them online. There are other businesses that run entirely on auction sites like eBay.com where the sellers ship items across the country and across the world. Online business people can also create information products, like ebooks and reports, and sell them through websites.

However, the easiest way to make money online is by becoming an affiliate for someone else's product and directing traffic to their site. With affiliate marketing you don't have to worry about product delivery or creation. You don't have to deal with a lot of the hassles that other online business people do. You are simply in charge of driving traffic through your affiliate link.

You'd be surprised by how many different products and services offer affiliate programs. No matter what type of product or service you want to promote, you can find an affiliate program that fits your category.

To get started as an affiliate marketer, you first need to find a niche or group of people who have similar interests. For example, work at home mothers, middle aged golfers and seniors interested in natural health remedies are all examples of niches. Once you find a niche, you need to do some keyword research to find some terms that people are using to find information related to the niche.

Finding a niche and performing your keyword research can be completed within an hour or two. Once you have your niche and keywords, you can start a simple blog on the topic. You can use WordPress or Blogger for your blogging platform, and add a few posts related to the niche based on your keywords.

Once you figure out your niche, you can visit one of the many affiliate networks (like Clickbank.com) and get an affiliate code. Place this affiliate code throughout your blog. Be sure to link to the affiliate product or service at least once per post.

After you've developed your affiliate website, you can start driving traffic to this website. You can write articles and distribute them to article directories in order to bring traffic back to your site. You can also use pay per click advertising and social bookmarking sites to drive traffic to your site.

Once you have the blog in place and choose your affiliate links, you can update your site and drive traffic within just three to four hours a week. You can see with this simple plan how easy it can be to develop a successful side business in your spare time.

MLM Economics - The Real Story

MLM Economics - The Real Story

Author: Brian Horwitz

To hear people go on and on about their MLM opportunities, you'd think making money online is as easy as using an ATM. You hear about the success stories and it gives you the impression that building your business happens overnight. I'm here to burst that bubble and tell you that although you can make a lot money from MLM, it's not going to happen unless you put in the time and lots of work.

Before you get into an MLM business, it's a good idea to know what you're getting yourself into. Here's more or less what you can expect:

You'll be referred to as distributors (or associates, independent business owners, dealers, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents), but basically it's the same thing. You'll represent a company that produces a product or provides a service and get a commission based on the volume of products you and your downline sell.

Compensation plans will differ from company to company, but no matter how attractive it may look like on paper, it will still take 3-5 years of building your business to get to the kind of numbers that produce enough passive income from your residuals. You're building a business and while the programs available to you might be marketed as an "out-of-the-box" solution, there's no getting around that incubation period for your business to mature. I don't mean to discourage anyone. I just want to make a simple but important point--If you set out in MLM with realistic expectations of how long it will take and how much work is actually involved, you'll have a better chance of actually lasting in this industry and being a top earner.

Why will it take so long to see significant passive income? The reality of MLM is that you'll be spending a considerable amount of time just building your network. By that, I'm not just talking about adding as many people as possible. Your time is better spent offering your business opportunity to motivated people who won't give up the first few times they encounter a problem. Fighting attrition is an ongoing concern for any MLM business and you'd do well to ensure that your network is as well trained and committed to reaching targets as you are, to keep them from wandering off into MLM limbo.

That's where your personal leadership comes in. Passive residual income is every online entrepreneur's dream, but it takes active leadership while you're building your business to earn your reward.

So a word to the wise -- don't quit your day job while you're building your MLM business just yet. Take your time and let yourself grow into it. The beauty of MLM is that a small investment can yield tremendous benefits down the road for those willing to stick it out for those 3-5 years. There's also the possibility that as you become more confident with MLM, you'll want to explore other income streams that yield bigger and more immediate residual income like a Top Tier Direct Selling program. In fact, you'll be able to use the skills you picked up from MLM and use them in any type of business.

You'll find that as you progress in MLM, your values shift from thinking of yourself as a "distributor" of a product to thinking of yourself as a "business owner" with the practical experience and training to build more and more businesses that add up to massive residuals. That's about the time when quitting your day job will make perfect sense. That's the point where you realize your financial freedom is well within your grasp.

Affiliate Marketing Tips - When is it Time to Cut Your Losses?

Affiliate Marketing Tips - When is it Time to Cut Your Losses?

Author: Naomi Lowe

We have all been there. You've grabbed yourself a hyped up product form ClickBank and run off to build yourself a PPC campaign and great pre-sell page. You get up the next few mornings and you've spent a fortune on PPC and sold nothing.

So how long do we persist before we cut our losses? Well unfortunately there is no exact answer. Every affiliate has a different theory. Some are prepared to take losses far longer and try and make it up on the back end with repeat sales through their email list. Others never back a loser as it just eats away your profit. Here are a few tips that may help.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #1

First thing I do is take a careful look at the actual product itself. If I don't already own it I send an email to the merchant with a screenshot of my PPC campaign. I ask them for a copy of the product so that I can improve my pre-sell or write a review. Most merchants accept willingly, as long as there is proof I have been marketing their product.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #2

You need to establish that the product in fact meets a need. This can easily be done by taking a look at the product and by using Google's Search Based Keyword Tool. If you're still unsure take a look in the forums for that niche and see if people are talking about problems that could be solved with this product.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #3

Some products just sell better at some times or seasons than others. For example, if you're selling a seasonal product like an e-Book of BBQ recipes, you're going to experience very seasonal demand. Most likely, when spring arrives you're going to start to see an increase in sales conversion rates. So it's very important for you to understand that some products just don't sell all year round.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #4

Don't use time to measure the success of a ClickBank product. It is completely irrelevant if you've been selling it for 1 day, 2 weeks or 5 months. What is crucial is how many impressions have seen your product and how many clicks you have had.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #5

If you can not get any impressions this is usually an indication that you have either a niche with no traffic, or have a poor quality score. You can get a low quality score if your keywords and landing page are unrelated. Sometimes the problem is that you have poorly chosen keywords with very low traffic volumes or not enough keywords. Start by selecting more high traffic keyword phrases that are highly relevant to your site.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #6

Some times no matter what you do, you just can't seem to get any clicks on your adverts. So what can I do about a low CTR? If you have less then a 1% CTR there is almost certainly a problem with your advert or your market is just dead. Re-write the advert to make it more appealing and see what happens. As a rank amateur a conversion rate of 1% is not ideal but it is acceptable. Anything less then 0.5% after you have trialed a few things and you need to cut your losses.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #7

Conversely, if you are getting a high CTR and low sales, your pre-sales page is a problem or the product itself is just garbage. This is the most dangerous problem to have, as this one problem can cost you a lot of money. Try and fix this problem quickly by making your advert, landing page and merchants page follow a consistent theme and story. If that does not work get out as quick as you can.

My Own Rules Of Thumb

I only accept a minimum of 1% sales conversion after 500 clicks but preferably up around 2%, if I get 3% it's a major winner and I scale it big time. I must have at least 1.5% CTR, but I have a lot of experience with CTR. If I can't achieve these figures I usually dump it pretty fast.

Get Paid To Take Surveys Online-Vital Things You Need To Know Online

Get Paid To Take Surveys Online-Vital Things You Need To Know Online

Author: Alan Lim

A lot of people get excited when they are told about the prospects of earning money with surveys. They can hardly believe that they will get paid to take surveys online. Some even dismiss it as a joke. But, it is true that you can make money quite easily by responding to surveys that are sent in the mail.

While it may be easy to make money, it is equally easy to get stuck in scams and lose money. There are many gullible people who are lead up the garden path with promises of good money and instant success. In order to avoid that, let’s take a look at some tips that will help you out.

Do Not Pay for a List of Survey Sites

There are more than enough free sites out there where you can get paid to take surveys online. Why do you need to shell out the money for paid sites? Most of these companies that ask for money to send you an exclusive list of “fabulous-sites-that-will-make-you-rich-in-a-week” are usually scams. There are very high chances that you will not hear from these companies after you pay the money. And even if you do, the list they send you will be irrelevant.

Besides, you don’t need to be a member of 200 odd sites. If you register with even 20-30 free survey sites, you will have enough work to keep you fairly occupied and bring in a good amount of money.

Complete your Profile

If you want to get paid to take surveys online, remember to complete your profile on the website. This profile is usually the pre-determining factor for the company to consider you and start sending you surveys. Unless you complete it, you will not be sent relevant surveys. In fact, filling in all the information that the company asks for, and showing diverse tastes and interests ensures that you get more surveys from the company. Also, remember to update your profile from time to time, to get qualified for a wider variety of surveys.

Be Professional in your Approach

It’s difficult to think of professionalism and surveys in the same sentence together. However, since you are planning to get paid to take surveys online and make this into a money making enterprise, look at it like a job for all intents and purposes. Allocate a certain number of hours every day and be prompt and honest in your response to the company. Keep a record of all the surveys you are taking and the amount of money you’ve earned from each company. Dedicate one e-mail account that will exclusively be used for the purpose of taking surveys.

Some More Advice

  • Never give out information related to your Social Security Number or Credit cards to any of the survey sites. No legitimate company will ask you for this kind of information.
  • Check your e-mail frequently as the better surveys get filled within a few hours of being posted.
  • Try to gather information on a variety of topics, even if they are not related to your area of interest. This will help you diversify your profile and subsequently, get more surveys.
  • If you don’t have a PayPal account, get one today. This way you can get paid to take surveys online faster.

Let Your Autoresponder Preview Your Purpose

Building customer interest and excitement is the first step to successfully marketing many products. Autoresponders play a vital role in building this
interest and excitement. For instance, if you were developing an ebook, you may want to start telling your website visitors and opt-in subscribers about it.
Start building interest; tell them what this product will do for them, and how soon it will be available.

Do more than build interest by telling them about it. Use an autoresponder to let them preview your product! Even though you will be selling the product, you can allow your potential customers to preview the information. Have you ever seen previews for movies that will be playing intheaters soon? It is the same concept.

Load one chapter of the ebook into an autoresponder, and put a form on your website where your visitors can enter their name and email address to receive
the preview chapter free of charge. This gets their name on your list of potential customer. Each week, send a reminder email, letting them know how close the release date is, and what they can expect from your product – keep building interest and
excitement.

Finally, a couple of days before you are ready to launch your product offer those that received the preview the option to buy a pre-release copy. You canopt to offer a discounted price, or leave the price as it will be on launch day – the choice is yours.

Take a look at the list of people who signed up to receive the preview. How many of them are still subscribed’ to that list? They’ve had the option to stop receiving notices about your product, but they chose to keep receiving the information you were sending. These are highly targeted prospects for your product. They have already shown you that they have an interest in your product, and a large number of those people are simply waiting on the autoresponder broadcast message that will let them know that it is time to pick up their copy of your product!

Isn’t automation a wonderful thing? Using an autoresponder, you are able to see how much of a market there is for your product, and build a great deal of interest in it before it is ever released. This isthe key to making sales on launch day. Use
autoresponders to build the interest. Get your prospects excited about what is about to come – andon launch day, give them what they are waiting for andwatch the sales pour in!

Is Paying Your Traffic A Smart Move?

Is Paying Your Traffic A Smart Move?

Author: Armil Velos

There are so many success stories you will hear about businesses making it good in the internet. The troubling thing is, there are maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories contradictory to theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a business enterprise that is internet based but only a handful shall succeed.

Is this through luck? That is even more remote. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed and the determination to learn and the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

The Very Basic

Like Neo, traffic is “The One”. Without traffic, all your effort would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them you wouldn’t have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have the more people would be able to sell your products to.

But like any business that’s in every corner building or in the mall, not everyone that goes in will buy, but the greater of number that do come in to browse your merchandise, the greater number of people that will buy your products. It is a simple and known fact.

But, how do you get traffic, traffic large enough that could make a small percentage of eventual buyers enough to make a good profit. Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small percentage is enough to provide them with good business.

Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others. Yes that’s right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people that knows that your site exists; the more people would of course go to your site, that’s common sense.

While there are many ways that can get you advertising for free, this do not generate the same high volume as those methods that are getting paid. These paid advertisements include advertising schemes by Google and Yahoo.

The Value of Searches

The search and will be the easiest and fastest medium in finding what a person needs in the internet. Search engines have been very popular because they provide a vital service to many people. They are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they get many visitors and clicks that they are the most common sites that people go to. It is easy to understand why so many companies would pay to advertise with these search engines.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your traffic. This may sound like not such a good idea, but the payoffs would tell a different story. When you pay for your traffic, you are guaranteed of a consistent traffic flow to your site. You will never go with an empty sales day.

Paying for your Traffic

Usually, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets when your ads is clicked, this is called pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are many tools that aid you in using the right keyword for the right moment.

All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for naught. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also result to a great boost in your sales figures. Paying for your traffic would be a really good idea and you will get all the benefits it has to offer.

Establishing your own E-commerce site is not like what it used to be. There are thousands of competition that is all too willing to get a bigger share of the pie. Every scheme and method you can find to augment your sales would be very beneficial.

We have got to admit to ourselves. Most of us are into it for the money. We are not going to waste our time and effort just for the fun of it. Many sites would not wait until hell freezes over just to see their profits. While there are some who takes things lightly there are always those who would rather see profit any given day.

It is common knowledge that without traffic we have no business. Like any business, without any customers you don’t get sales. Traffic represents all the people that gets a chance to see what you have to offer. The more people who see your products the more people there would be to buy them.

Nobody puts up an E-commerce site that doesn’t expect profit. We have a startup capital that needs to be regained. With a consistent traffic, we at least have a fighting chance to achieve that probability. Monetizing your traffic would optimize your chances of making the best out of it.

Making Money out of your Traffic

The best and most proven method of making a profit out of your traffic is using advertising. The internet generates hundreds of thousands upon hundred of thousands of traffic everyday. Most of them are searching for something. While some are just looking for information there is also a good percentage that is looking for something that they need.

The internet has proven to be a very reliable source in finding what was deemed to be a very unsearchable product. The internet has made the world a smaller place; you can advertise a product from the depths of Istanbul and still find a buyer from the center of Philadelphia.

Generating traffic is not an easy task. You have to contend with a great number of sites to generate a good number of traffic flow. But if done successfully this could open up a Pandora’s Box of possibilities. One of the benefits is monetizing your traffic flow.

So, to get to the core of it the more traffic you generate the more likely you are considered as a desirable, desirable, in a sense that a good traffic flowing site is easily convertible to profit. Basically traffic equals profit. Advertising is the name of the game; with the good advertising scheme you can use your traffic flow to your advantage.

When you have good traffic you have a good number of potential customers, customers that are willing to pour money into your coffers. Other than that these are also traffic that can be redirected to sponsored links that are willing to pay you for a sizeable portion of the traffic that you have generated.

This scheme is called “pay-per-click”. With every click a visitor of your site makes on an advertised link you will be paid. The more traffic you generate and the more clicks that happens would spell to more profits.

Affiliate Programs

Another method of monetizing your traffic are affiliate programs. You can link up with other tried and tested sites and online companies and monetize your traffic by having a percentage of sales generated by traffic coming from your site.

The basic idea is, traffic generated from your site will go to another site that can offer a product that you do not carry. Many programs can keep track and make records of transactions that was made possible because of site linkage.

When purchases are made by customers that was led by your site to their site you get a percentage of that sale. Affiliate programs would give you the benefit of monetizing your traffic without the actual need of carrying or promoting a certain product.

There are so many ways and methods to monetize your traffic. All it takes is a bit of hard work and the desire to successfully launch a profit-earning site. The internet is a veritable source of information, many tips and guides are offered everywhere in how to monetize your traffic and make your site a good profit earner.

It’s All About The Journey!

It’s All About The Journey!

Author: Steve Smith

Every time I take a break from running my business, I’m reminded of the incredible benefits I’ve received from experiencing the triumphs and setbacks of building my business. Like many business owners, I’m continuously thinking about the ultimate goal of my business when, in fact, the real growth comes from the journey itself.

Recently, my wife and I embarked on our annual vacation- a road trip. We started doing trips on our motorcycle because traveling this way can be very economical while experiencing more of the journey as opposed to the end destination. This year, we decided to see as much of the outlying areas of California as we could in a week.

So, several months ago, we began the planning process: when would we leave; which route would we take; what would we visit and where would we lodge for the night. We also considered what we could carry and what we would need in case of unforeseen situations. If you’ve ever traveled via motorcycle, you know that the only thing worse than getting rained on, is running out of gas! We made sure our itinerary and provisions prevented these 2 things from derailing our adventure.

The trip was perfect! From LA, we went through the Mohave Desert, up to Lake Tahoe and made a brief pit-stop in Reno. From Reno, we headed west across California to Napa Valley, down to Santa Cruz and over to the coast. Since we didn’t stay or drive through any major cities, we enjoyed a continuous flow of the state’s natural landscapes and small communities along the way. It gave us both a sense of how others experience life in a state where geography and economics can border on the extremes.

Riding a motorcycle for 8 or 9 hours a day gives you a lot of time to think. If your trip is well planned and you prepare for every circumstance, all you have left to do is enjoy the ride. And this ride was all about the journey. We had only ‘stops’ to make throughout our time on the road; no destinations. As I was navigating the long straight-aways of the Mohave Desert and the twists and turns of the pacific coast highway around Big Sur, I started to think about how similar this experience was to running a small business.

As a small business owner, you tend to start your business because you have something you want to pursue. Something that evokes the desire to achieve; something you feel is the direction you must take on your journey to entrepreneurial success. These early musings may last for several years or be the product of a disruption in your current life that propels you to take action.

Once you begin your journey, you will undoubtedly face opportunities as well as challenges. Being prepared for both can insure you sustain the confidence and commitment to stay on course. There will be times when the journey itself is so difficult, that it will be hard to keep the original purpose of your trip in mind. It’s at this very point where growth, awareness and breakthroughs can happen. As the owner of a small business coaching company, I was struck by the uncanny similarities that small business growth has with being on the road.

If you are planning a new business or career change that will launch you on a new journey, here are some areas I recommend as a small business advisor to my current clients:

Clearly define the reason for your journey. Journeys (business, career, life) can be initiated for many reasons but the ones that have purpose or defined meanings are the ones that will most likely be successful. The purpose of our trip was not simply to vacation cheaply but to experience the rural and wilderness aspects of California. The purpose of your business should be something more significant than just making money.

Map out your route. Know where you plan to go, how you expect to get there and what you’ll need along the way. In business, preparing your start with enough financial support is critical. Understanding your strengths and weaknesses is also necessary. Developing milestones that will help measure your progress is critical to realizing growth and progression along the way.

Anticipate obstacles. Our first trip ending abruptly when we encountered mechanical problems and had to be towed to a strange town for repairs. Had we obtained the proper road assistance plan in advance, we would have saved a tremendous amount of time and money getting home. ‘Things’ happen. Be prepared by understanding what could go wrong and have solutions to overcome them quickly and efficiently if they do.

Schedule stops. Riding a motorcycle 400 miles each day requires stopping to rest and re-energize. Running a business requires the same. A journey of 18 hour days is sure to end in disappointment. Take the time to review where you are and evaluate how the journey is going so your energy and awareness remain sharp.

Make the most out of your ride. Enjoy each phase of your business and learn from the victories as well as the set backs. Take the time to recognize the people who have helped you and devote some of your own expertise to those who could benefit from it.

If these areas of focus seem a little out of reach or unrealistic, it may be time to seek out a professional business coaching program. There’s no better place to put your resources than towards an investment in yourself.

The best part of a well planned journey is the feeling of certainty that you will reach your goal. If you have a business, its knowing that at some point, the things you want from your business will be realized. Having the confidence that you can and will be successful makes the journey that much more enriching and rewarding. And when it’s over, you’ll never have to say “I wish….”

Many people make money online by using affiliate marketing. For your information, affiliate marketer is the person who sells someone else's product and get a commission. So, the more selling he makes, the more commission he gets. There are many ways for you to market the product you are promoting, both free ways and paid ways. For example, if a company would like to collect some information from the website's visitors, so this company offer to pay $1 for anyone who comes in to the website and submit his first name and email address. So, what you have to do is trying to send traffic to the website, then you will get $1 for each person who submits the required details.

As you see that you don't have to sell anything at all. Besides, making people to sign up something for free is a lot easier than making them to buy something for sure.

However, there is a downside of CPA that you need to know. As previously stated that CPA marketing is a lot easier than affiliate marketing, hence, there are so many people jump into this, and this is the reason why the CPA marketing's competition is extremely high. So, if you want to try to make money by using CPA marketing, you really need to have the right information before jumping into it, since you will be up against all the people that I am talking about.

Finally, Zero Friction Marketing has all the answers you need to learn about CPA marketing. Just learn the methods provided in the system and follow the steps in order to be successful as a CPA marketer.

Six Things One Must Learn About CPA Arbitrage

Six Things One Must Learn About CPA Arbitrage

If you have read any of the Chris Cobb CPA arbitrage review you will know what CPA arbitrage is. But those who don't have any idea about it should understand just one thing that it is a way of making money through arbitrage. That is the basic definition of it. It is also known as traffic broking in which you get leads from the publisher and sell it to the advertiser. And if you would read Chris Cobb arbitrage you would also learn to play both the roles so that you could earn more money. So the six things one must know about CPA arbitrage are as follows:

1. It is basically a term used to teach CPA marketing. CPA stands for cost per action. Generally what happens is that when somebody comes to know about some way of earning money through internet , he advertises that on the internet but does not give away the whole thing. Only that much matter is put on the net which can create curiosity about it. To read the full matter one has to buy it. That is how they make more money from teaching that method

2. But CPA arbitrage is different as Chris Cobb who has invented it is a simple ordinary man and he has let out all the secrets strategies of his arbitrage. It has elaborated upon every aspect of Chris Cobb arbitrage. One can become a pro in CPA arbitrage after reading it.

3. CPA gets you paid for all the actions a prospective consumer performs like signing in for a website, filling the details required to be filled to become a member of that website, or just visiting a website. As a customer goes on performing each of these activities you get paid for each one of them.

4. Depending upon the activity that gets closer to actually purchasing the product fetches more money for the traffic broker.

5. For activities like signing in one can get up to four dollars and for activities like registering for a free tryout on can paid to one hundred and fifty dollars.

6. With this course you can learn all about earning money through these CPA networks. You can learn all about the best CPA networks and how one can get started. All the method are explained through videos.

CPA arbitrage is a good method for making money through internet without actually owning anything. The investment is zero and the returns are very high. So definitely it is a lucrative business but if it is within the limits of ethical activities that is a concern.

A Business Model That Keeps on Giving

A Business Model That Keeps on Giving

Author: Geoff Ficke

If there were an Entrepreneur’s Hall of Fame, Wayne Huizenga would be a charter member. Most people recognize the Wayne Huizenga as being the former owner of the Florida Marlins baseball team, and the current owner of the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins. These are the types of gaudy baubles a billionaire entrepreneur collects. However, his success came from the most elemental business: trash hauling.

Mr. Huizenga started as a small time cartage operator for a waste disposal firm in south Florida. He worked his way into sales and ultimately bought a small firm. In the 1960’s waste disposal was a local, independent, mom and pop type of business in the United States as well as in most industrialized countries. There was no scale. Each trash removal firm worked on contracts negotiated with local governments. There was always the fear of political winds changing and effecting a contractors future status.

From his perspective as a small time operator in a highly fragmented industry, Wayne Huizenga knew that he needed a safety net, not wanting to be tied to a sole municipality for his firm’s sustenance. His idea was elegantly simple: he would build a national firm, with appropriate leverage and economies of scale, by buying up key independent garbage hauling firms in strategically important markets. This would provide the strength to expand in every secondary market and standardize this formerly sclerotic industry.

This idea evolved into Waste Management. Mr. Huizenga became a billionaire when his firm, after ascending to the number one spot as an international garbage-hauling firm, with contracts spanning the United States, Europe and Asia, was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The simple idea of consolidating hundreds of independent firms under one roof and standardizing the service menu was a thoroughly disruptive new business model. Former owners for these independent businesses were induced to sell by offers of stock, options and management contracts.

With a billion dollars in hand, Mr. Huizenga could have retired and collected art, cars, coins or stamps. He could have hung out with the idle rich. Instead, he applied the business model that created Waste Management to a completely different business category: home entertainment. In the 1970’s, with the market introduction of first beat-max, and subsequently VHS technology, and then the rapid descent of retail pricing for home video players, thousands of independent retail stores popped up offering video for rent. The ability to rent a popular movie tape and play it when desired in the comfort of one’s home, was a huge change in behavior and the method of delivering entertainment to the masses.

Wayne Huizenga was restless, looking for a new challenge and open to any opportunity that offered huge potential upside rewards. He saw it in a small, but growing firm: Blockbuster Video. Today, the consumer recognizes the Blockbuster brand as a generic term for home entertainment. 25 years ago, Blockbuster was one of a handful of movie rental chains, several sold franchises, all were regional, struggling for capital to fund expansion, and competing against locally owned stores. The same fragmented industry distribution channels that existed in the garbage removal business were immediately obvious to Wayne Huizenga. He pounced.

After purchasing Blockbuster Video, Mr. Huizenga began the same type of assimilation program he pursued with Waste Management. Small, local video rental chains were purchased. The Company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the funds raised fueled a rapid expansion. The leverage and muscle that Blockbuster gained was utilized in purchasing product from the major Hollywood studios at more favorable terms than any competitor could negotiate. Small locally owned stores could not compete and thousands closed, creating more expansion opportunities for Blockbuster.

Blockbuster Video was a growth company with a huge following on Wall Street. Mr. Huizenga had replicated the success of Waste Management in a completely different industry. While Blockbuster was at its apex, he sold the business to Viacom. Hauling garbage is a highly needed, but largely unappreciated service. Renting movies is a service that is less important, but much more desired by the public. The same business model worked perfectly in two totally opposite areas of opportunity.

Blockbuster Video and Waste Management made Wayne Huizenga one of the most recognizable and successful entrepreneurs of the 20th century. Most people with but a small slice of this type of achievement would be completely satisfied and content. Not so with Wayne Huizenga!

Seeking another fragmented industry, where the opportunity to roll-up local and regional outlets would enable repetition of the Blockbuster Video and Waste Management successes lead Mr. Huizenga to the world of used car sales and marketing. He immediately recognized the same dysfunctional market forces, absence of scalability and pricing inefficiencies so readily apparent in the video rental and garbage hauling business.

During the 1990’s auto leasing became wildly popular. These cars are leased for a set term, typically returned with average or below average miles and dealer maintained. The problem for the automobile industry was, and is, the inventory glut that occurs as leased cars are returned. This created a unique opportunity for Wayne Huizenga and his favorite business model.

He launched Auto Nation with a public sale of equity on the New York Stock Exchange. Today, Auto Nation is the largest seller of late model used cars in the world. Inventory is vast, offering virtually every popular model in great depth and variety. The scale and national reach of Auto Nation, enables pricing to be very sharp, almost always significantly lower than local dealers. In addition, all prices are negotiable and fixed, eliminating one of the major negatives to purchasing a car, haggling over price.

Three times, in three totally differing industries, Wayne Huizenga has applied a uniquely disruptive business model that has streamlined sluggish, non-dynamic business categories. He started very small. He thought very big. This is a perfect template for every prospective entrepreneur to study and utilize.

Perfectionism Has No Place in Small Business

Perfectionism Has No Place in Small Business

Author: Christine Gallagher

This was a hard lesson for me to learn. I'm not sure I was born with perfectionist tendencies but if I wasn't, school definitely gave them to me. So much so that when I entertained starting my first small business, breaking free of them involved a lot of kicking, screaming and banging my head against the wall. :)

Perfectionism may have its place in school because you are always aiming for that A+ grade, that 100%, that shiny little star sticker. But when launching something new as an entrepreneur it can be deadly. Sure, we all want to do our best work and be prepared and serve our clients as much as we possibly can. Those things are a given. But if it causes us to stay on the fence and never really get out there then that's when it can become a major
problem.

It's more about fear than wanting it to be perfect.

One of the people I'm connected to on Twitter brought up this point recently when I tweeted about writing this article. I absolutely agree with her. In fact, this is why it was such a struggle for me in the past. The whole idea of "good is good enough" was extremely uncomfortable to me. "But, but, but I still need to...I don't think it's completely ready to...I just want to tweak it a little bit more..."

Sound familiar?

Perfectionism in my case was just a form of procrastination. I suspect this is common, especially among first time business owners and solopreneurs. After all, it's hard to argue with wanting to improve your product, service, article, blog, e-course, etc. Who wouldn't want to? But we would be wise to look at what is really keeping us from taking action and going live.

Are you afraid that once you put it out there it might not sell and you'll be disappointed and stressed over it? Are you afraid of what people think because you are constantly comparing yourself to others and how you stack up? Fears and anxieties like these are all normal, but how badly are you short-changing yourself by not
jumping in and at least testing the waters?

The thing is, there are so many opportunities you may be missing out on by not going for it. What if there are wonderful things waiting for you on the other side of your fears? The perfect time will never come, just like the perfect business doesn't exist.

You don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going.

No doubt this stuff is tough to overcome. But like that oft-repeated tenet of being able to learn from our failures and mistakes, we can't progress and improve if we don't even give ourselves a chance.

By getting your product or service out there and knowing you've done a good enough job, you'll start to see that momentum is on your side. The universe rewards action. Once you get this, you will wonder what you ever waited for. You can always go back and update and improve but something is often better than nothing.

Many times just the awareness of how you use perfectionism to avoid the possibility of a negative outcome can go a long way toward re-training yourself to take action instead of obsessing over every detail.

So how will you overcome the perfectionist trap that may be keeping you stuck? Believe that there are people in the world who need what you have to offer and stop holding back from them--and yourself!

How to Save Like a Bank

6 Sound Banking Principles from the Folks Who Should Know – the Banking Industry!

In these hard times it can be challenging to consider making money, let alone saving money. But regardless of your current financial situation, and in good times and bad, money matters and the more you know about how to save money, the better you’re able to take the good times with the bad.

And while banks aren’t in the habit of writing financial books to help you save, one community bank wants you to know that saving money doesn’t have to be as hard as you think.

According to Robert Sumner, CEO of First National Bank of Pasco (FNB Pasco) near Tampa, Florida, “Saving money is the founding principle of the modern banking system, and should be a founding principal for a successful family savings account.”

Sumner adds, “For too long people have been told to ignore their savings account for various and supposedly ‘more lucrative’ funds, and while it does make sound financial sense to diversify you won’t have much to diversity with if there is no savings account to start with.”

Sumner suggest refocusing your family’s energy on creating a basic savings account and offers the following advice on how to do just that, based on FNB Pasco’s sound investment principles and the core fundamentals that make up their own lending – and saving – policies:

• Principle # 1 – Start where you are: We often sabotage our savings plans because we feel that “we don’t have enough to start saving yet” or “there won’t be enough in checking if we move this over...” But you’ll never begin if you don’t start somewhere. Banks, too, come in all shapes and sizes. As Sumner explains, “A local community bank isn’t made of money; we can’t ask corporate to approve a loan that’s too big if we don’t have it on hand.” Don’t wait for someday to start your savings account; start from where you are, even if it’s just a few dollars. By committing to this amount, even this small of an amount, every week, you can and will have a savings account to be proud of.

• Principle # 2 – Begin with a goal: Believe it or not, banks are not made of money. They have limits on spending, on borrowing, on lending and on what they can and can’t have as cash on hand. What are your limits? Where is your budget? Don’t start a savings account with some pie-in-the-sky dream of having a million dollars by the end of the year (especially if it’s already October when you begin!), but instead have a specific goal in mind

• Principle # 3 – Commit to succeed: Banks are famous for making long-term commitments to your financial success. Every time you see a “Come in and ask about our 4.5% savings CD,” you are looking at a commitment from your bank to honor your money and repay you, generously, for a set limit of months or even years. In short, you can’t save money if you don’t commit to success for a set period of time.

• Principle # 4 – Automate to accelerate: Banks have sophisticated, automated systems in place to regularly produce returns on their investments. By rolling over profits into the principle, banks accrue interest at an accelerated degree and provide profits upon profits. Your savings account should also be automated, not just to ensure that you regularly contribute to it but also to ensure that it continues to “roll over” as it profits. (Talk to your banker about how to set up such an account.)

• Principle # 5 – It should be a sacrifice, not a slaughter: Don’t try to save too much, too fast, or so much, so soon that you short-circuit your savings before you even begin. Crunch the numbers safely so that you can save enough for it to be a sacrifice, but not so much that it becomes a slaughter. In other words, yes, you should likely save x amount of dollars per month rather than buy a bunch more CDs, aromatherapy candles or throw pillows that you don’t need, but you shouldn’t go without a couch!

• Principle # 6 – Diversify deliberately: the one thing about banks is they will not allow your money to sit there and grow moss. Banks are a revolving door of investments designed to increase interest on existing capital. Likewise, once your savings account is up and running, it is important to weigh your options to ensure that not just are you saving money, but you’re making money as well. (Your local community banker can help!)

Saving money isn’t easy, especially in these tough and trying times. But for years banks have triumphed over tragedy again and again using these same basic principles. Now that you understand what you need to do to save, and have seen the benefits of a healthy, growing savings account, you can begin sowing the future seeds of your financial success today.

Are You Part Of An MLM System Or Do You Own One?

In the book Rich Dad's Guide to Investing, Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter point out that a big difference between a business owner (a person in the "B-Quadrant" of Kiyosaki's Cashflow Quadrant) and a sole proprieter (a person in the "S-Quadrant" of Kiyosaki's Cashflow Quadrant) is systems.

B's own business systems, which are automated or run by employees, hence they can be free of the daily business activities and make money while they sleep.

S's on the other hand, are the system. They operate everything in their business from product development to sales to customer orders to administration to accounting. That's why S's are always caught up in the "busy-ness" of their business and never have any time freedom at all.

Now when you first became a new recruit in your network marketing business opportunity, you may have felt like an S. You had to do a lot of drudge work - calling prospects, booking meetings with them, mailing out info packs, following up etc. All very time consuming tasks, and that's before you've even recruited a prospect.

Your team leaders told you they had a system and told you to follow that system. But here's the thing - you didn't have a system, you became part of an MLM system. Their system.

You would have to work in that system until it reached a critical mass where you had enough active downline members to do all of that drudge work in your place. This is the concept of duplication. But the vast majority of network marketers don't duplicate themselves very well.

The drudge work of network marketing is time consuming, costly and horribly inefficient. The majority of networkers are building their businesses part-time. Most simply do not have enough time and energy to get decent results using these "old-school" prospecting methods.

Of those that become leaders and build a large downline with the old-school methods, many find they are often spending a lot of time on the phone training their downline and doing 3-way calls with new prospects. So much for the promise of financial freedom...

Successful entrepreneurs are all systems minded. Network marketers should not be any different. There are systems that can be developed to take care of prospecting, educating and follow up for you. And you should look into developing systems that can do all that drudge work for you as soon as possible if you're serious about making money in MLM.

Thanks to the internet, it is possible now to create a complete marketing system for pennies on the dollar. It is possible to create an entire website, with your own dot-com web address, for less than $100 per year. There are so many free tools on the web such as YouTube, blogs etc that you can use as part of your marketing system.

There's such an abundance of people on the internet looking for business opportunities. It's just a matter of creating a system for your business that sifts and sorts through your leads until you have a prospect that is qualified for your opportunity and eager to get started.

Here's a very basic outline of a fully automated online marketing system:

1. A squeeze page (also called a capture page), that converts your web traffic into leads. A squeeze page captures basic contact details (i.e. name and email) of the traffic that lands on it. In exchange for these contact details, you can give a valuable piece of information away for free, such as a report or audio.

2. Email Autoresponder. This is a series of prewritten emails that goes to your leads over certain period of time. The purpose of these emails is to develop a relationship with your leads by giving away valuable information. You can include links to video or audio training in these emails.

3. Self Liquidating Offer. This is a product or a piece of information that you can sell to your leads once you have established a relationship with them. You might want to show them your plan in this information product. The purpose of this is to turn your leads into prospects. Only those who are serious will by your product. And it's a neat way of getting paid to "show the plan". You can use this money to pay for your advertising and traffic generation.

4. Follow up. This is where you follow up on your prospect by getting in touch with them by telephone and qualify them for your business. If you have a system that runs properly, it's only this final step that actually requires your involvement. All previous steps can be completely automated.

When I first learned about this type of prospecting system, it blew my mind as to why nobody else in my upline, downline, crossline knew about it. It just makes so much sense. It eliminates all of that time and money consuming drudge work.

Most importantly it's a system that you personally own. This makes you much more valuable to prospects than other rank and file network marketers who are still using the 'old-school' methods.

Implementing such a system will take some time (perhaps a year, even two) in educating yourself and getting all the pieces to fit together. But once in place, it means leverage. And that means business building becomes a pleasure, rather than a pain.

How Do I Write A Career Change CV?

With the fragility of the employment market continuing, and statistics predicting the rise in number of people who are affected by unemployment set to continue throughout 2009 to a peak of in the region of 3 million in 2010, many people who are unemployed are now considering the prospect of a complete career change.

For many, the prospect of redundancy can be seen as a positive situation and provide them with the opportunity to re evaluate and re assess their career prospects. Job seekers who are in this position are often fortunate enough to be able to re train and pursue a career based in a completely different field, very often one that is focused around a hobby or passion or a totally different lifestyle.

For others however and probably the majority of people hit by redundancy and unemployment, the reasons they are seeking work in a different industry or sector are less positive and generally derive from the fact that they need to apply for whatever jobs are available, in the aim to get back in to the work place as quickly as possible.

For either reason, the prospect of changing career totally in a recessive economy is an extremely challenging one. This is further enhanced by the fact that there are now on average 30 applications for every advertised role across the UK, many of whom will have relevant position and/or industry experience and a substantial number of those at the moment, will even be over qualified for the role.

There are ways though, that candidate's who are looking for a career change, can improve their chances of making the transition, by making some simple changes to their resume.

By designing your CV carefully and including some important key features there are numerous ways in which you can ensure that your experience and interests can be profiled to show they are in fact very relevant to the role you are applying to.

Top Tips when writing a career change CV:

Remember to bear in mind the job spec of the role you are applying to when you are constructing your CV for a particular position.

Carefully read the duties and responsibilities and ensure you relate your profile to match key words and skills. Even though you may not have experience of a certain skill in a particular industry, there will undoubtedly be situations in your previous roles that you have used exactly the same abilities, so it is vital you show how these skills are transferable. In addition to this really bring out your interpersonal skills. These again are non industry specific, so can be relevant to any future industry and can give a potential employer a good insight in to you as a person behind the paper.

Set your skills out in the same format and order as they are prioritized in the role profile. This will enable the reader to immediately identify that you are used to working in a similar way and have been spending you time working to the format they use already.

Focus your CV on your achievements. By doing this you will be able to demonstrate how successful you can be in this field and that you have a very good knowledge of the topic, even though you may have no previous experience in it as a working environment. This can be in relation to hobbies, voluntary work, memberships or affiliations, clubs or societies.

Highlight relevant studies that you are currently doing independently or stress the fact that you are keen and determined to study and progress further in your new career.

Write a strong career objective to begin you CV to show the reader and potential recruiter that you are very serious about the career move, demonstrate your long term commitment and highlight how you intend to achieve your ambitions. This is an excellent opportunity to sell yourself in to the role.

While keeping the above tips in mind, for any career change CV, a strong covering letter can be almost more valuable in explaining your career motivations, intentions and aspirations than the CV itself. Make sure you spend time developing this so that it does in fact become the really powerful marketing tool that it should be.

What is a good Curriculum Vitae?

Your CV is the single most important weapon in your armour when you are hunting for a new job. Getting it right is crucial and in today's market, your resume is an even more instrumental marketing tool than before. With some areas of the UK now seeing over 30 applications for every available vacancy, the competition is becoming increasingly fierce making it is now more important than ever to make sure your CV show cases your skills, abilities and achievements to their full potential.

Prospective employers often make snap decisions whether to interview or reject an applicant instantly having read the details - even the most qualified people can find themselves rejected if their CV does not do their skills and abilities justice. Even worse, many CVs do not actually get read but are discarded on first glance due to poor layout, excessive text or obvious unacceptable errors.

How can you give your CV the edge?

Although there is not actually a right or wrong way to write your CV, there are many ways that can increase, or conversely decrease, your chances of securing that all important interview request. It is predicted by industry professionals, that you have less than ten seconds to grab the attention of the reader, so you need to make a strong visual impact instantly in terms of layout, text and readability.

In the light of the current job market, it is essential that your CV should look, sound this it is vital to choose the words you and read positively, and in order to achieve use in your CV very carefully. By using words which enhance your CV, you can emphasise the positive aspects of your education and work history, which will prove valuable when you come to market yourself. For example, words such as completed, organised, and initiated all have a strong impact on the reader and make the potential recruiter immediately start thinking 'what you can achieve for them'. Try to avoid negative words like unsuccessful or tried, and avoid repetition, as these all create the wrong first impression.

There are no set rules or guidelines which determine what the length of your CV should be - this will be dependent on your individual circumstances, for example your career history, education and achievements, and will obviously become more extensive the further into your career you are. Trying to achieve a balance between giving all the necessary information on your background, while keeping to the point, should be your main aim when selecting what to include and what to omit. Ensure that the highlights of your career are exactly that - highlights and not lost in a mass of irrelevant text.

Making your CV too 'waffly' or complex is as detrimental to your interview chances as leaving out key information. Too much detail and industry specific jargon will often be lost on its reader or will make the reader switch off altogether. However, by bearing in mind the role or industry that you are applying to, and keeping any key criteria set out in a job specification at the front of you thought process, you can ensure your CV remains focused, concise and relevant.

The reader is not going to be interested in every duty and responsibility you have undertake during your working career, or every module, course and seminar you have attended, unless they are relevant to the role they are recruiting for.

Points that sound very obvious, such as running a check on the spelling and grammar before submitting your details may sound like stating the obvious but are extremely important and are still surprisingly, not carried out in many cases. Submitting a CV to an employer with such errors, will immediately ensure your CV is filed in the bin. In addition to this, making sure you tell the truth is vital. It is all too easy to over emphasise an achievement or the extent of your experience, but the chances are you will get caught out and recruiters can generally tell at a glance if you are exaggerating the truth!

There are many companies now which offer professional CV writing services at a range of different levels. Some will be able to simply redesign the layout of your current CV, while others will offer an in depth consultation before completing any work, to ensure they glean all the key information needed for your CV in the short and long term. This can be a useful method of CV writing, which can give you many crucial and otherwise unknown CV writing tips that make all the difference in the world of recruitment.
